Qatar Airways Cargo has been crowned with the Development2030 Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year.
Since resuming their agreement in April 2022, Qatar Airways Cargo and Airlink have transported 58 shipments of 351 tonnes of humanitarian supplies to seventeen countries on behalf of 22 organizations providing 2.1 million USD in transportation help. Approximately 5.8 million people globally.
Qatar Airways Cargo received Development2030’s 2022 Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year Award for its WeQare CSR program at AidEx 2022 in Brussels. The award specifically highlights its 2020 chapter 1 program, which promises the organization to transport “1 Million Kilos” free of charge for eligible charities transporting humanitarian aid and medical supplies worldwide.
Afghanistan, Pakistan, Philippines, Sudan, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Lebanon, Jordan, Bangladesh, Turkey, and Syria received much-needed relief. Medicines, medical supplies, hospital beds, solar equipment, nutritional supplements, water and sanitation supplies, tarps, blankets, hygiene kits, and food assistance are flown. With their free air services, 28 charity groups saved over $1.2 million and reached over 4,337,457 people with life-saving supplies.
